Community Compost Tour – FREE for BS13 Residents

Come and learn about composting with Heart of BS13, and find out about how their new composting project at the farm is improving the environment in and for our local community.

Composting is a amazing process, creating healthy soil which is essential for life. And turning our food waste into compost is a simple, easy and effective way of caring for the environment and improving the soil for future generations. We are confident that after going on their compost tour, you’ll never want to throw your food waste in the bin again!

What will happen on the tour? You’ll learn about the new Ridan composting machine at the farm, which allows Heart of BS13 to process food waste, before it goes into compost bays. You’ll get to help turn the compost and load it into the bays, check out the bugs and other life in our living soil, and visit the flower farm where the compost ends up.  And there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, over tea and cake!
