D.I.Y. Wedding Flowers
Join Heart of BS13 to learn how to design and arrange your own natural wedding flowers at their sustainable flower farm based here at Hartcliffe City Farm.
Whether you are planning an entire DIY wedding, or just want to personalise your special day by creating your own bouquet and button holes, they can show you how to make beautiful, natural wedding arrangements.
They’ll discuss important factors to consider such as costs, quantities, timings, style and seasonality, making sure that you feel confident to organise your own wedding flowers, and removing any unnecessary stress from the process. They’ll also teach you some essential floristry tips and tricks which will allow you to make sure that your arrangements look fantastic throughout your wedding day.
After this discussion, you’ll get the opportunity to pick your own flowers from the field, followed by a quick tutorial on cutting and conditioning by their florist, Clem.
Clem will then guide you through the process of arranging your own natural bridal bouquet (it will be quick enough to arrange yourself the day before the wedding – or consider bringing a bridesmaid along and enlisting them to do it!). You’ll then take part in a tutorial on designing buttonholes, and will have fun making a variety of creations. And finally, you will be guided through the steps of making a jam jar design with your chosen flowers to create a rustic table centrepiece.
