Hand-tied Bouquets
Join Heart of BS13 at Hartcliffe City Farm for a fun and creative afternoon this summer, and learn how to arrange your own hand-tied bouquet from start to finish.
Their florist, Clem, will demonstrate how to arrange a hand-tied spiral bouquet with our fresh seasonal flowers, and guide you through the key elements of flower arranging: cutting and conditioning flowers, design and choice of palate, composition and technique. Then you’ll create your own masterpiece, with help on hand to offer further guidance and support. And finally, you’ll learn how to wrap your bouquet like the professionals using biodegradable paper, to be sure you’ll go home with a bouquet you’re extremely proud of – and the confidence to make your own going forward.
This workshop will take place in the timber frame barn at Hartcliffe City Farm, overlooking Heart of BS13’s vibrant flower garden and set against the beautiful backdrop of the Dundry slopes on the southern edge of Bristol.
It includes a tour of the flower farm, led by Clem, who will talk about their social enterprise’s aims and mission, the importance of sustainable, low carbon flowers, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
