These two large, but still little, blacks arrived at the farm a few days. They are super cute and a little shy but getting to know their new home and would of course love a visit!
The Large Black is an endangered breed. It is the only British pig that is entirely black. It was created towards the end of the nineteenth century by merging the black pig populations of Devon and Cornwall in the south-west with those of Essex, Suffolk and Kent in the south-east.
Large Blacks are hardy and docile and they forage well. We think they will do very well at the farm!
