About the farm

We are a friendly and dedicated team working to provide a welcoming community space for local residents. Our beautiful 6-acre site comprises of a playful-barn and café, several gardens, a farmyard with a variety of animals, a flower farm and a number of buildings which are used for community activities. We are a public site, open 9-4 seven days a week.

About you

You will be passionate about the provision of community space and a high standard of care for our farm animals. If you have experience of caretaking, cleaning, hospitality, and/or animal care, then you have transferrable skills, and we would love to hear from you. You will be fully trained to fulfil the role, but prior experience will help you secure the job.

We need reliable sessional workers to cover for our permanent staff absences and holidays on an ad hoc basis. This is a hands-on role, with every team member pulling together to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting indoor and outdoor environment for the children and adults who use our services and for the public who use our facilities.

Essential criteria: You must have knowledge, skills and experience of undertaking basic animal care and be able to be flexible and adaptable. It is important that you can handle a range of physical outdoor work, such as mucking out animals and moving haybales.

Desirable criteria: Experience of working with the public, cleaning and caretaking experience.
