We’re recruiting for new trustees

Hartcliffe City Farm is looking for new trustees. Could you spare a few hours each month to help to make it an even better place?

About the role

Being a trustee means helping to shape the organisation’s future, keeping a watch that it is being run well and sharing your enthusiasm for the farm with others. You’ll be part of a team and we’ll make sure you get the training and support you need to be a great trustee, even if you’ve never done it before.

We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have the following skills or experience:

  • Live or work in the Hartcliffe neighbourhood.
  • Marketing – in particular social media.
  • Trades – building maintenance, health and safety.
  • Youth work, education or social care.

However, commitment, enthusiasm, and the willingness to get involved are as important as specific skills and experience. Previous trustee experience is not required.

Meetings are on Wednesday evening once every 2 months with expenses covered. They generally last around 2 hours. Being a trustee is a voluntary role, but in return for your time you’ll get new skills, a wider social and professional network, and a warm glow from knowing you’re helping your community to thrive.

The principles of equity, diversity and inclusion are important to us. We are keen to hear from candidates of all backgrounds to help us ensure that, as an organisation, we are welcoming to the different communities in our diverse city.

More information about the city farm is at www.hartcliffecityfarm.org.uk including details of the role of trustee. All our governance policies are also online.

How to apply
