These are Welbar chicks and they aren’t out on the farmyard yet as they still need warmth, but we still wanted to share how cute they are.
Welbars are a rare breed and, unlike most breeds of chicken, you can tell what sex they are from birth. Ours are all female chicks. They lay lovely deep brown eggs, which will eventually be available to buy from the farm office.
