Stone & Steam Community Sauna is tucked away in the woodland glade behind the animal pens at Hartcliffe City Farm. Look for the “sauna” sign from the main yard to find the entrance.
Owned and run by Katie (she/her) in partnership with Hartcliffe City Farm, Stone & Steam offers a warm, welcoming space to pause, connect and reset in nature.

- Thursday and Friday: 5.30pm to 8.15pm
- Saturday: 10.30am to 7.15pm
- Sunday: 10.30am to 6pm

Meet the founder
Katie founded Stone & Steam after more than a decade working in mental health and community gardening. Seeing the impact of stress and isolation, she began exploring sauna culture as a preventative, community-led wellbeing practice.
Inspired by traditions from Central America to Morocco and Lithuania, Katie built her first wood-fired sauna in 2020 and trained as a sauna host in 2021. With support from The King’s Trust, Stone & Steam was established to bring accessible sauna culture to Bristol.
As your host, Katie tends the fire, guides the experience and creates a space where everyone feels safe, included and cared for.
