
Flower Farmer to Florist – one day course
Join Heart of BS13 at their sustainable flower farm here at the farm for a hands-on day of flower farming and floristry.
This course is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to grow and arrange their own flowers, whether you’re just starting out, want to improve your skills or get a taste of a career in flower farming. It will include two sessions:
- Growing seasonal flowers – learn how to plan, sow, transplant and care for flowers. Plus soil health, managing weeds, biodiversity and composting.
- Harvesting and arranging flowers – how to pick and keep flowers at their best, arranging them and wrapping your bouquet with professional flair.
You will take home:
- seeds you’ve sown and plug plants to get you growing
- your flower arrangement
Please bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee & cake will be provided throughout the day.
When: Saturday 10th May from 10am to 3:30pm
Cost: £125 (limited £10 spaces available for BS13 residents who are in receipt of means-tested benefits)
